  1. Thank you! Just purchased my copy :)

  2. Awesome, thanks. I was moments away from buying it, this is just the icing on the cake.

  3. Anyone have any experience with MacFuse? Seems like they do the same things, only MacFuse is free. What are the benefits of this over MacFuse?

  4. MacFuse & MacFusion are great, and free.

  5. Ben: They use MacFuse as their base, but that is just a way to allow one to create filesystems. MacFusion is a similar product that is essentially a pretty GUI for sshfs, which is a files system built on MacFuse. I’ve had a lot of issues in the past with sshfs dropping ssh connections and not even wanting to connect. From what the developers say, their implementation doesn’t have these issues. And it has a better file system that does some caching to improve editing performance on the client side. Additionally, it has automatic reconnects, so if you close your laptop, go somewhere else and reopen it, it automatically reconnects. (These differences are based on what the developers have said on other blogs, but I personally have had a tone of issues with sshfs and hope this is a good solution).

  6. That makes it a bit cheaper. Hooray thanks! I still wish there was a free alternative though.

  7. SSHFS through MacFuse is free, but doesn’t hold a candle to this. I’ve been testing it and it’s rather jaw-dropping – whatever caching or magic they’re doing makes it a night-and-day difference over SSHFS. Thanks for the coupon; this is going to come in handy…
