Hey just wanted to comment on some things you talked about. the iPhone SDK has been released as beta. People can download and start programming apps, just they can only run in the iPhone emulator that comes with the SDK. To actually test on your iPhone you need to pay the $99 to get a certificate and if accepted you will get into the beta program to get the beta 2.0 firmware to test the apps on a real iPhone.
Also the 70%/30% split is actually generious compared to other companies out there as pointed out at http://www.intomobile.com/2008/03/19/apples-iphone-appstore-digital-application-signatures-explained-developer-costs-lowest-in-industry.html#3

I think’d it’d be neat if you were to make these podcasts available over Bittorrent. Not that you’re lacking in bandwidth, but up here in Canada, we really really really need more and more and more legit bittorrent options.

Just wondering what’s going on with all the packet loss this morning? I’ve currently got 63% packet loss between two of my slices.

Brandon,
I’m not sure a comment on the podcast post is the best place for us to respond to a support query.
Could you send a support ticket in via the SliceManager and we will take an immediate look at the situation.
Sorry it took me 24 hours to notice your comment but I wasn’t expecting it in a blog post.
Many thanks.

I’m kinda surprised you guys went for Macs a second time after all the problems you’ve had with them. Don’t problems make you… you know… want to try something else? I think about how I’ve never had a major problem with a Canon product, and now when I need a camera I don’t even comparison shop for anything else. And I can’t remember an HP product I haven’t had an issue with, so now I ignore them.
I’m not bad-mouthing Macbook Pros. I’m sure they’re much better than Macbooks, and you probably don’t feel like you have much of a choice to change operating systems. But surely it at least crossed your mind- if we’ve had so many problems with our Macs, maybe we should avoid them in the future?

Great podcast, crew-I finally listened to it at the gym today. Engaging, interesting, and relevant, as always.
